I was born in 1972 in Uddevalla, Sweden.
My computer interest started in late 80's. My first own computer was a Commodore 64G back in '89, with came with "Video Supergame 64" bundle, including the cartridge 'Super Games' (cart still here) and a Commodore joystick (sold later with an A500+). Me and that c64 was close buddies even if I sucked on Basic. I wanted an Amiga, like a friend of mine. Painting was so fun on an Amiga with mouse in DPaint than Koala Paint on the 64 fiddling around with joystick. Sometime in '92 I got cash enought to buy an Amiga 500+, together with some special stuff like wireless (IR) mouse, sound-sampler and alot more cool stuff. The Amiga 1200 saw the light on the market, so I sold the A500+ and bought one. The A1200 was an awesome machine, and still is. To me at least. A friend showed me something called BBS's and later I started to call this boards by my own to collect files and chat with the SySops. The ratio was often 1:3 on real elite boards, so I needed a way to get fresh warez without to much job finding files to upload. So I started to make ASCII-logos for some BBS's just to try get leech. And it worked. Later I got my first Internet account through Algonet, working on my Amiga. PCs started to pop up everywhere and my first own was an IBM 386 with Win3.11 I got for free and a 10" EGA monitor (16 color grayscale) I found on a junkyard. It wasn't hot, but it was a start. A slow one. To be continued... | |
